The Dallas Cowboys honored victims, first responders and U.S. military servicemen and women on the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. GMR, the official emergency medical service provider of the Dallas Cowboys, in partnership with the Dallas Cowboys and the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, hosted 21 first responders from GMR and two Medal of Honor recipients at the game in Arlington, Texas. The special attendees not only enjoyed the Sunday night game from the sidelines, but also joined approximately 175 other EMS caregivers from agencies throughout Texas in a pre-game flag ceremony and in a half-time show that paid homage to our nation’s EMS personnel. GMR also used the opportunity to unveil its new helicopter and ambulance designs that were created in honor of our nation’s military members and veterans.
GMR and AirMedCare Network have a long history of honoring veterans and the military. Recently we donated to Homes for Our Troops. Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury. These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. We will continue to show our gratitude to active duty and retired service members in the years to come and we hope you’ll add to our efforts and contribute in any way you can.
