REACH Air Medical Services has been committed to high quality patient care since its inception. Dr. John L. McDonald founded REACH Air Medical Services in 1987. His passion for pediatric care allowed him to recognize the need for emergency air ambulance transport. REACH services expanded to include neonatal and adult transports as well. REACH’s clinical staff consists of critical care transport nurses and paramedics. REACH nurses function under an advanced scope of practice, meaning they perform some interventions typically reserved for physicians. REACH clinical protocols are developed and maintained by their group of Medical Directors and the Clinical Education Team to ensure that their clinicians provide evidence-based, patient centered, care.
