Global Medical Response (GMR) has become Chief level sponsor for The SERVPRO First Responder Bowl. In its 8th year of honoring first responders, the 2023 game was played in Dallas on December 28th between Rice and Texas State.
GMR assumed the role of presenting partner for the pre-game show in a spectacular display, contributing first responder helicopters for a flyover, and bringing their own first responders and Honor Guard center stage to perform the U.S. National Anthem and present the colors.
“We could not be more satisfied to have aligned our event with the world’s largest medical transportation company, GMR. They stand at the forefront of patient care and hold all first responders with the highest regard,” said Brant Ringler, Executive Director of the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl.
With more than 38,000 employees, GMR is committed to providing compassionate medical care globally, extending services beyond medical transportation to fire, healthcare solutions and disaster response. As the largest medical transport company worldwide, it remains dedicated to delivering personalized and high-service solutions at the local level. GMR is a conglomerate formed by merging industry leaders in various services, including AMR, Rural Metro Fire, Air Evac Lifeteam, REACH Air Medical Services, Med-Trans Corporation, AirMed International and Guardian Flight.
Since December 2014, the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl has been recognizing and honoring the contributions of first responders including police officers, firefighters, EMS workers, correctional officers, search and rescue teams, dispatchers, security guards, federal agents, border patrol agents and military personnel with specialized training. In 2018, the game was renamed to underscore the ongoing efforts of expressing gratitude and appreciation to these dedicated first responders.
