Family means everything to us, and we’re always here to support yours. The Dunnihoo family’s story is a powerful reminder of just how valuable an air ambulance membership can be. When Ricky Dunnihoo suffered a GI bleed and aneurysm, his wife Heather knew that urgent transport to the right hospital was his best chance for survival. Take a moment to watch their journey with AirMedCare Network.
While the cost of air ambulance care might be covered by insurance, the Dunnihoos had no financial concerns and nothing but relief when they heard the helicopter arrive from the local Air Evac Lifeteam base to transport Ricky to the right hospital for his urgent medical needs.
Ricky attributes his positive outcome to the efforts of the Air Evac Lifeteam crew that day. “I had a fighting chance with y’all that day”, Ricky told them. He also advises other people who live in rural communities to consider the potential costs of air ambulance care and buy membership. Having access to the life-saving care of AMCN providers, like Air Evac Lifeteam, and the financial peace of mind air ambulance membership provides is something the Dunnihoos say they will never be without.

If an AirMedCare Network Provider does not transport you, you will be responsible for payment. Our membership program only covers transports provided by our affiliates.
There is no limit to the number of transports a member may take in a year. Each transport is handled the same way and must be an emergent or time-sensitive transport as determined by a physician (or other appropriate provider) or first responder unaffiliated with AMCN.
With an AirMedCare Network membership, any person or persons who reside under one (residential) roof are covered. In the event we have a member who lives in a duplex or apartment complex, we designate the primary member’s residence/address— that is considered the “one roof”. Undergraduate college students can be covered under their parent’s membership as well as anyone previously residing in the household who is then moved to a permanent care facility.
