AeroCare, a leading provider of air medical services in West Texas and East New Mexico, is honoring one of its longest-serving employees, Dr. Craig Rhyne, for 30 years of dedicated service. Dr. Rhyne serves as the medical director for the air medical provider’s 11-base locations.
“Dr. Rhyne has been instrumental in developing and furthering clinical excellence at AeroCare for the past 30 years,” said Bobby Sanchez, regional director for AeroCare. “He assisted in developing state rule and educational requirements in Texas and New Mexico. Under Dr. Rhyne’s leadership, AeroCare was one of the first CAMTS accredited programs in Texas. Dr. Rhyne has mentored numerous physicians, nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists and physician assistants during their time with him at AeroCare. He is a friend, mentor and a great leader to all the staff that serve the patients in our community.”
Rhyne was appointed medical director for AeroCare in January 1993. During that time, he has also served as associate medical director for the South Plains Emergency Medical Services (SPEMS) and Regional Advisory Council, regional medical director for New Mexico EMS region II and state medical director for the New Mexico State Police. Rhyne completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center.
AeroCare hosted a private anniversary celebration event for Dr. Rhyne at the Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock on March 30. Present and past employees and industry-based colleagues were invited to join the celebration and commend Dr. Rhyne’s dedication to AeroCare and the air medical industry.
